I am frequently asked if I give Reiki to humans as well. My answer is always "Yes, absolutely I do!" In fact, I have had a huge increase lately in humans who are interested in experiencing Reiki.
People can benefit from Reiki in all the same wonderful ways that animals benefit from it. Reiki is healing energy, it is pure love energy. Who wouldn't want some of that!
If you are not familiar with Reiki, there are some great resources out there where you can learn more about what Reiki is and how it can help. Here is a great websites to check out: http://www.reikihealingarts.com
You can also read the "How Reiki Can Help" page of my website because it can do the same things for people that it does for animals.
In a nutshell, I believe Reiki gets the energy in our bodies moving. And why is that important? Because when energy is "stuck," we can end up developing health issues, we can feel stagnant in our lives, our immune system can be suppressed, as well as a myriad of other things that are not good for us, our health or our well-being. If energy is flowing freely and easily in our bodies, we feel free and our bodies are able to do what they are designed to do . . . heal themselves. Reiki supports the body and assists it in being emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually "well."
From my experience of giving Reiki to people, I know that people usually feel very peaceful after a Reiki treatment. They are relaxed, more grounded, less 'in their head' and more calm. Since Reiki can heal on all levels (physical, emotional, mental, spritual), the experiences that people have can vary from person to person and from session to session.
After a Reiki treatment, some people feel so relaxed they just want to crawl into bed and take a nice long nap. Others feel energized and want to get to work on something that they want to get done. Sometimes people cry during or at the end of a treatment, as they release an old hurt they were holding onto. Many people report aches and pains being gone by the
end of a treatment. Others report feeling more relaxed about things
that were causing them stress, and sometimes people get up from a
treatment with insight about how to fix a problem they have been
dealing with.
There is no "right" way to respond to Reiki. It is healing energy. It goes to where our bodies need it most and addresses that which needs to be healed most on that particular day.
If you are interested in a Reiki treatment for yourself, the information on the "Appointments and Fees" page of my website will answer your questions.
